Summer is here!

It is finally summer vacation for the Nu Chapter sisters of Phi Rho! :) A number of new and exciting things has happened during the past academic year including the following: the initiation of two lovely new classes (Rho and Sigma), a Paris-themed Orchid Ball, cleaning up Venice Beach, a social between the Phi Rho and Triangle chapters of southern California, and the turning of several active sisters into alumni. Although we are sad to see them go, we know they will all go on to accomplish bigger and better things, then of course come back and share their stories! We look forward to seeing each other again in the fall!

Our quarterly invite party is coming up on Tuesday, May 4! Contact any Phi Rho to get tickets for only $5 each, which includes transportation. The theme of the event is “Movies” so come dressed as your favorite character from any movie of your liking.

Semper Phi Rho

The ladies of Phi Sigma Rho invite you to participate in Semper Phi Rho, our annual philanthropy event benefiting the American Cancer Society! Semper Phi Rho will be a tournament-style laser tag tournament! The event will be held at Sunset Recreation Center on April 18th, 2010, from 12pm-4pm.

If you want to join in, grab nine more friends and form a team! Anyone is welcome, from the Greek community to dorm floors to other on-campus organizations. There will be an entry fee of $150 per team; all proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.

There’ll be music, food, and fun, so don’t miss out on Semper Phi Rho 2010!!

A Night in Paris

Orchid Ball 2010 was held on Saturday, February 27th at The Reef Restaurant in Long Beach. Although it was not actually in Paris, the girls of Phi Rho still enjoyed a night of glamour with Eiffel Tower centerpieces and a delicious three-course meal! Hope everyone had a wonderful time at formal!

It was also nice catching up with our alumnae at the Founder’s Day Brunch, which took place earlier on the same day. We are so glad that our alumnae take time out of their busy schedules to get to know the newer girls of our sorority!

Lastly, winter quarter is almost over … which means we will be having SPRING RECRUITMENT in a couple of weeks! Please check back for more information regarding our recruitment events! :)

Happy holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!

We all deserve this three week break from school what with all the stress of the end of the quarter. Once we get back, we can’t wait to initiate our lovely Rho class!
We will also be welcoming our new Eboard for the next year to come. We all can’t wait to see what these girls have in store for us with a lot of events planned and formal will be this quarter as well. Can’t wait! It’s going to be such a packed and fun-filled quarter!!

Invite is Coming

Hey all! Next Tuesday (November 24), we have our quarterly invite party! Contact any Phi Rho to get tickets. Tickets are only $5 and they include the bus ride to the venue. The bus leaves Strathmore/Gayley at 10pm and you cannot get on the bus before purchasing a ticket so get them soon! Any questions? Feel free, as always, to contact us! See you there :)

Enjoy the cafe atmosphere with chocolate fondue and expresso. Business casual dress.

All events take place in the Boelter Penthouse, which is found on the 8th floor of Boelter Hall (use NW elevator). Still lost? Meet us at the bruin bear 15 minutes prior to the event and we’ll be more than happy to lead the way!
